I design, carve, and cast the medals myself (they’re copyrighted). The medals are made of lead-free pewter and have designs on both sides. The pendant comes with a jump ring (see photo), so it can easily be attached to any chain you have. This listing is for the pendant alone, but it does come with a split ring so it can also be used on a key chain (see photo of packaging). Each medal comes in a felt jewelry pouch with a history card that states:
"Baptized by St. Patrick, St. Brigid (ca. 450-525) was noted for her wisdom. She also established a school, which was noted for the art it produced. This combination of intelligence, hard work, and scholarship has led to her being one of the patrons of students. Because of her immense influence upon Irish art, education, and spirituality, she is, with Patrick, also a patron saint of Ireland. This medal of Brigid was handmade by Hank Schlau at In the Company of Saints. It is cast in lead-free pewter."
Dimensions of pendant: 1 5/8 h x 5/8 w (inches)
The pendant is also available on a chain in a separate listing. (Search for “Brigid” here in our shop, and it will come up.)
