"A biography of Boris the Cat: he appeared, a young cat, mysteriously, a bloodied paw, on a front porch in Natchez, Mississippi; he was cross-eyed, very handsome, and blinked a lot. He was taken into a house with four other cats and was miraculously received without a hiss. He leapt onto a couch with the others; they all yawned and took a nap. He was always good to other cats, even strays. Like Tennessee Williams, another Mississippian, he was kind to strangers. As an older cat, he developed cancer on his right front paw. It was treated, but eventually the leg had to be amputated, making Boris a tripod. It bothered him not a whit: within days of the surgery, he was working his old magic, going about with the same cheerfulness, openness, and charm he’d always had. He stands as a patron to all who go through a hard time with grace. This medal of Boris was handmade at In the Co. Of Saints in Covington, La."
I design, carve, and cast the medals myself (see the last three photos for images of some of the process). The medals are made of lead-free pewter and have designs on both sides. The pendant comes with a jump ring (see photo 1), so it can easily be attached to any chain you have. This listing is for the pendant alone, but it does come with a split ring so it can also be used on a key chain (see photo of packaging). Each medal comes in a felt jewelry pouch with a history card that states the above-given text.
Dimensions of medal: 1.4 (h) x .9 (w) inches
