Handmade medal (see last 2 photos for part of the process) of St. Amand, patron of waitresses, waiters, bartenders. I designed, carved, and cast the medals. The medals are made of lead-free pewter and have designs on both sides. The pendant comes with a jump ring (see photo 1), so it can easily be attached to any chain you have. This listing is for the pendant alone, but it does come with a split ring so it can also be used on a key chain (see photo of packaging). Each medal comes in a felt jewelry pouch with a history card that states:

"For much of the seventh century, St. Amand preached the gospel in northwest Germany, Belgium, and the area surrounding Bordeaux, all areas where fine wine and beers were and still are made. He also established a number of monasteries that produced wine, beer, and a variety of food. (To this day, fine sauternes are made by the Chateau St. Amand in the Bordeaux region, and a fine ale called St. Amand country ale is made along the border of France and Belgium.) Walking and preaching in these areas, Amand would have gotten to know those who worked at all levels of making and selling wine, beer, and food and would have regularly blessed them. For these reasons, Amand became the patron of those who serve nourishment of all types to others. This medal was handmade at In the Co. Of Saints in Covington, Louisiana. The front depicts Amand calling down a blessing (and tips) for all those who make food and drink and serve them to others. On the back the saint blesses the fields from which our nourishment comes."
