This is a handmade medal on chain of St. Agatha. I design, carve, and cast the medals myself in our studio in Covington, Louisiana. The medals are made of lead-free pewter and have designs on both sides. The medal comes on either an 18-inch or 24-inch chain with a lobster clasp. Each necklace comes in a felt jewelry pouch with a history card that states:
"Born in the third century, Agatha, in a perilous situation, pointed to heaven and said, 'I have my Lord Jesus Christ, and he by a single word can cure everything.' An old man (St. Peter) appeared and, 'through the name of Jesus,' healed her body and soul. Thus, St. Agatha, holding on to her faith and hope, emerged healed, strengthened. This medal shows Agatha as she pointed toward heaven. It was handmade at In the Company of Saints in Covington, Louisiana."
