Handmade Medal of Padre Pio: "Pray, Hope, Don't Worry"; a Message of Assurance and Encouragement

A handmade medal of Padre Pio, with an image of him on the front and his practical summary of Christian theology on the back: "Pray, Hope, Don't Worry." I designed and carved the original and cast the pieces by hand in lead-free pewter. (See the last three photos for part of the process.) Each medal comes with a jump ring so it can be attached to a chain and a split ring to attach it to a key chain. The medals come in jewelry pouches with a history card that states:

"Padre Pio (1887-1968) was an Italian priest who had a huge influence as a spiritual guide and healer. Thousands came to him each year to be blessed and healed and to get his advice. Though he suffered through intense, prolonged physical pain, he persevered and met with these throngs of people. The core of his message to all, a message many associated with miraculous healing, was the simple command of liberation: 'Pray, Hope, and Don’t Worry.' This small medal with those words was handmade by Hank Schlau at In the Company of Saints."
