I design, carve, and cast the medals myself. The medals are made of lead-free pewter and have designs on both sides. The pendant comes with a jump ring (see photo 3), so it can easily be attached to any chain you have. This listing is for the pendant alone, but it does come with a split ring so it can also be used on a key chain (see photo of packaging). Each medal comes in a felt jewelry pouch with a history card that states:
St. Joseph–father of Jesus of Nazareth, husband of Mary–was a carpenter, a steadfast and loving husband, and an attentive and devoted father. Given the characteristics of his son, it’s hard to imagine Joseph being anything but kind, gracious to all but especially those in hard circumstances, and full of faith. This medal, handmade at In the Company of Saints, depicts Joseph in his workshop with his son. Joseph is building a small chair for the young Jesus, who is watching his father work. On the back, Joseph shows his son a house he has built. Thus the medal depicts Joseph as a good father: working hard to care for his child but also present for him in a constant and loving way.
Dimensions: 1 inch high x 5/8 in. wide x 1/8 deep
